That Bad Bitch

Congratulations to Ms. Natasha Metto who will be Kenya’s representative to the Miss World 2010 pageant set to be held in Sanya, China. The final will be on 30th October. Natasha is really pretty but I hate that they insist on using this picture of her because the weave is just horrible. I say this only because I’ve been wearing weaves continuously for the last 3 years (sssshhhh) and I know she can get it done very well in Nairobi, and quite cheaply too. I’m rooting for her though and I wish my vote counted

This year they decided to have the Miss Kenya event done in a reality TV show set up. I will confess that I missed every single episode. Therefore, I have no idea what competition Natasha was up against. I was a bit curious about what she should expect in China. So I have a few pics of various contestants mainly from Africa who will be representing their countries, and a few others who can be considered black. Pics after the break.

Remember I told you about the estimated cost of Chelsea Clinton’s wedding last week? It did go on with no hitches although Obama did not attend. I really hate to hate but some things just have to be said. Chelsea Clinton is just not pretty… I don’t mean she’s like the ugliest person in the world. But she’s just not pretty. Those Clinton genes are not the business. The groom is also not my cup of tea. Her dress by Vera Wang was awesome though. More pics after the break.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz were wed July 31st in southern Corsica, Piantarella. Alicia wore a beautiful Vera Wang gown which was inspired by Egyptian Princess; shoes with no heel designed exclusively for her by Christian Louboutin, and a diamond tiara. Swizz Beatz looked handsome in a suit designed by Tom Ford. The couple brought together an intimate gathering of family and friends and celebrated their new marriage and their baby on the way, aboard a 260-foot yacht on the Mediterranean Sea.

This past weekend was surely reserved for weddings. Therefore my updates today will be of the three weddings that went down: TI and Tiny, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, and Marc Mezvinsky and Chelsea Clinton.

TI and Tiny officially got married at a Miami courthouse on Friday, June 30th. The wedding celebrations were held the following day in Miami. A few unofficial pics are floating around mostly from twitter. The ceremony opened with crooner El DeBarge performing several songs, and triple-threat entertainer Jamie Foxx sang a bridal processional as Cottle made her entrance. Antonia “Toya” Carter said it best:  “…the cutest couple ever! u can’t spell Tiny without TI. Congrats!”

Guests partied into the wee hours of Sunday morning at Cameo Nightclub afterwards. I’m sure Tiny is elated after being a baby mama for what seems like a lifetime now. Check out more pics after the break.

I can hardly believe that it’s already been one year since we lost the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Fans all over the world are still in shock and are planning huge memorials. Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in New York city has gone a step further and unveiled a wax statue of Michael. It looks eerily life-like. His family, on the other hand, are still trying to hog the spotlight. What with one of his bros giving an interview at his grave side, and LaToya visiting Bubbles the chimp and claiming that Michael was murdered. These people are the real psychos. Iman was honored with the Fashion Icon Award on Monday night by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. This is an award given to “an individual whose signature style has had a profound influence on fashion.” Iman is almost 55 years old but could even pass for twenty something… I’m jealous

She was recently featured in a New York Times article which chronicles her journey from Nairobi, where she was attending university when she was discovered by photographer Peter Beard, to her current success as an entrepreneur, covering her three decades as a model revered by fashion designers and publications, as well as her marriage to David Bowie.

She tells the well-documented story of how she arrived in New York in 1975, the daughter of a Somalian diplomat. She spoke five languages but had never worn makeup or high heels.

Ciara attended the 11th Annual Maxim Hot 100 Party in Los Angeles on Wednesday night in a Gucci outfit and Versace heels. Bish is looking hot! I think I need to hit the gym to get my legs looking as toned as hers. Meanwhile, BET has decided not to air her Ride video. They don’t have a problem with videos from male artists that show women popping their booties all over the damn place now do they? #TeamCiara on this one. More pics after the break.

So Chris Brown was in Italy for Fashion Week. If this is fashion, then I think we’re better off with figs and leaves. Most of his outfits were just atrocious!!! Chris needs to fire whoever lied to him that he will be a trendsetter with these threads. If my man (I love you honey!) showed up in something like this, I would personally take him shopping for mitumba clothes. People don’t understand that some of the shit on runways are meant FOR THE RUNWAY!!!

Halle Berry is a bad bish… And I know it’s wrong but I can’t help but be jealous!!! She’s an older woman who’s just given birth and she looks way better than I ever have! Yeah, I know she has help in terms of money for stylists, beauty treatments, etc. The fact is she’s hot and other bishes want to be HER!!!
